Matressess with clean covers are supplied. IMPORTANT: We do not supply any bedding.

A few paraffin lamps, candles, griddle, kettle, a few pots and pans and enough firewood for your stay will also be supplied. We suggest you bring your own gas lamps and battery operated lighting if you are not satisfied with a few paraffin lamps. Extra wood can be bought at R20 per bundle.

There is NO ELECTRICITY so cool bags are a must to keep meat, butter, cool drinks, etc. cold. It would be wise to bring a gas plate for boiling water for that quick cup of coffee!

Due to the fact that there is no electricity we make use of the old fashioned method of a "Donkey Geyser". Suffiecient wood is supplied for the "Donkey Geyser". If nobody in the group has ever used a "Donkey Geyser" it would be appreciated if you let us know so that we can explain how it works on arrival.

Please bring the following:

1. Bring all your own bedding i.e. sleeping bag/duvet/blankets and pillows.
2. Extra blankets (the weather can change overnight!!)
3. Sufficient clothing for ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS
4. A good pair of hiking boots
5. Food and drinks
6. Bring all your own eating utensils, cutlery, plates, coffee mugs, glass, etc.
7. Cool bags (to keep meat, butter, cold drinks etc. cold)
8. Camping chairs (optional) They are more comfortable than tree stumps!!
9. A gas 'braaier' and gas plate (in case of rain) is recommended.
10. TORCH
11. Extra lighting i.e. gas lamps or battery operated camping lamps. REMEMBER THERE IS NO ELECTRICITY.
12. Peaceful sleep or Tabard.
13. A rucksack for your daily circular hikes
14. A good quality broad spectrum SPF 16 SUNSCREEN
15. A sun hat
16. Indoor games in case of rain
17. AND ..... Don't forget the bubble bath for the zinc tub!!!
